Exhibition Alfred Smirnov

March 12, 2010 in Vladimir Oblast Center of Fine Arts opened a personal exhibition of Vladimir Mikhailovich Smirnov painter Alfred (1935-2009).

Alfred Smirnov - a landscape, he could not get under the influence of the renowned Vladimir school of landscape painting. One could say he is its youngest representative, that does not detract from the merits of his paintings. He is quite genuine original painting. It is recognizable not only for its formal qualities (wide pasty letter to the forming plastic swab, its color palette), but the overall emotional tone - it has clearly read a harsh life experiences of the author and his difficult military childhood, early loss of relatives, heavy youth. His paintings have attracted the attention of modest beauty, truthfulness, without
embellishments and beautiful, as well as the strength of mind, spiritual power of a non human life. The main theme of the artist's works - the nature of central Russia. Certain influence on the formation of Smirnov as an artist has had contact with Kim Britovym during joint visits to the sketches.

Alfred Smirnov was born in 1935 in Huss-Crystal, the war lost his mother, was then studying in the School of Arts (1951-1953) and served in the army (1955-1959). In Vladimir's Art School in the first decade of its existence has been extremely strong teaching staff, largely composed of exiled
from both capitals to Vladimir artists (enough to mention the former director of the Russian Museum Professor NP Sychev). In these years there studying such future artists as NA Mokrov, VA Potekhin, and Yu I. Zharov, and Dr. A. Smirnov some time he lived in Moscow, then
studied at the Law School, but dropped out in his third year - realized that it was not his path, but a true vocation was painting. After returning to Vladimir Smirnov worked in commercial advertising (a painter of the central department store) in 1970, first exhibited at a regional art exhibition. Since 1977 he is a member
national art exhibitions, since 1983 - international, and since 1987, and all union. Artists and art-lovers pay attention to the works of Smiranova, exhibited at the exhibition "Artists Nechernozemie" (1977, 1980), "Artists of the central regions of Russia" (1990, 2004). As part of group exhibitions of artists with the works of Vladimir A. Smirnov acquainted viewers Czechoslovakia, Finland, Spain. Smirnov - a member of the Union of Artists since 1980 and a permanent member of all regional exhibitions. His works are in museums and private collections in Russia, the United States, Spain and the Czech Republic.

The exhibition features 86 works in oil painting, 17 of them from Moscow private collections. The exhibition runs until April 3, 2010
