This concept was developed by the artist Jean Dubuffet in 1945 It is based on studies of psychiatrists Printshorna and Morgenthaler in 1920-ies., Posvfschennyh art "mentally ill". Dubuffet visited many psychiatric hospitals and gathered a large collection of works of their patients.
