Creative designer Christina MARRIOTT (Khrystyna Marriott from the small town of cork (Cork) in the South of Ireland, has been creating beautiful jewelry in vintage style with natural materials. Among her works you can find necklaces, rings, bracelets, charms, and pendants.
Kristina herself says that the materials she finds in nearby arches, forests, farms. Then she puts the flowers and grass in a small glass case, balls, bottles with stoppers. This very elegant decoration.

Micromosaic in the ladies ' jewelry

Micromosaic is a special form of art, which use extremely small components, called tesserae (tesserae), for the manufacture of highly complex and detailed images.
In the early eighteenth century Roman glazier Alessio Mattioli experimented over a colored glass paste with a high percentage of dyes. He did what is called "Smalti Filati".
Depending on the shades of color, which was supposed to get pieces of different shades were mixed together, and then melted over an open flame. The molten mass is then "Palas or pulled with tweezers in the threads of the desired thickness. Thereafter, the strips were cut millimeter cubes and put in a specific mosaic sequence on the canvas. The basis is a special part of the glue that during solidification (it takes 2 days) acquires the properties of the stone. Thus, it is extremely delicate and skilful work, to repeat that, not knowing all the intricacies of the case, impossible. This technique has been gaining popularity in the first half of the 18th century.
The centers of production of micro mosaic Italy Rome, Ravenna, and later became Venice. The popularity of this technique has retained to the present day.
