Kenji Shibata "Chained in the air"

Short-lived, but very sensual art creates Japanese artist Kenji Shibata (Kenji Shibata). To make a series of photographs, she freezes flowers in large ice blocks.

Pictures from this series are not only strikingly beautiful, but also symbolic. Shibata called them Chained in the air".
The artist shows how plants literally frozen in time, in order to preserve their beauty.
Bright petals, frozen beneath the ice, look like watercolor stains on the glass artist's palette. Some of them, Ottawa, create contrast between the frozen plants and rapidly fading dead flowers outside of the ice.

Before photographing frozen flowers, the girl gives them a bit to thaw. So the songs become more vivid, delicate and sparkling. In fact, it is the last minute of the colors of life - after the water is completely thawed, the petals will wither.
The author notes that wants to convey this acute sense of the rapid passage of time, which cannot be stopped.

As a result, we have before us an original interpretation of the eternal natural beauty.

Pictures Shibata are currently on exhibition in Tachibana Gallery in Osaka, which runs until 20 December 2014

Born in Seattle, Washington, in 1940. After self-study painting it began with illustrations for science fiction, but in the mid 80's started to experiment in the field of fantasy and surrealism, developed his own unique style, which he called "Meyerworld".

Artist Gianni STRINO

During his studies in Naples Lyceum of Arts, demonstrating the ability to architecture, the younger Gianni was attracted by the charm of illustrated art. He throws his studies and devotes all his time to painting. Strine was inspired by the creations of Leonardo and Raphael, and was deeply imbued with the ideals of the high Renaissance.
The sense of harmony of the world, of life-giving forces of nature, a combination of sensuality and generosity is a characteristic feature of the painting Strine.
All portrait compositions brush masters remarkable examples of painting and deep reflection on the human person. Work seem to be moving, breathing - special thanks to the alternation of deep shadow and light, dazzling, delicate. The forms in his paintings in the flesh tangible, but written so gently, tenderly, I get poetic ideality.
The complexity and clarity of composition, suggests that the artist has deep knowledge in the field of architecture and perspective. The ability to naturally have figures that fills the song with movement and meaning, immediately put another young artist to a higher stage.
Strine very deeply investigated the laws of optics and applying the shade not only to create a visual volume on the plane, but in order to give the bodies of the "special charm”. Chiaroscuro is used by the master and for the modelling of form, and as a means of "revival” of the characters. Usually on his canvases the light source is obscured; the figures and objects are discussed in contrast with the shadow from which they act.
