In May 1934, in the gallery "Zak" opened a large exhibition of works of Nilus, who had a huge success, especially among young artists. Not so hard on his works as Nilus. Even while living in Odessa, Petr, returning home, he burned all that was in the studio. Bukovetsky once, passing through the yard, saw the picture, prepared for destruction. He asked a friend to give him this canvas and hung it in his art gallery. Then he asked Nilus this work to the exhibition, where she was a great success.
Also his wife was rescued from a painting, which bought the collector, the American Forbes.
For three days he walked, looked, chose two works, one of which was prepared on the eve of destruction. When his wife expressed Pyotr Alexandrovitch his belief that he still was not right in his assessment, he replied: "Do you think that he was not mistaken?"
