Bernard Ransiyak (Bernard Rancillac)

Genus. 1931, Paris. French painter and graphic artist. In 1961 he became the winner of the Paris Biennale.
In 1964, became one of the organizers of the exhibition "Modern Mythology", held in Gore. Museum of Modern Art and marked the birth of a new direction - "narrative figuration.

The artist in this work (La jarretelle), possibly exploring the precise point that separates art from pornography. The difference between wants, satisfied by the media, and wants, satisfied by the art, that is the difference between the media and the arts. Vulgarity and art.
     Perhaps he was interested in the stylistic issues, and visual language. That is, pornography - it is a matter of style (how the image) or a content issue.
      These are my reflections on this work. Maybe someone will see it another way. Maybe it's much easier or harder contrary. This is interesting and the art of these artists. They seem to offer a look at familiar things differently. Compelled to search for new meanings, or even put their pictures new issues are not yet finalized familiar textual form.

In February 1965, Manolo Valdés and Rafael Solbes received a gold medal at the Third National Exhibition of paintings organized by Caja de Ahorros del Sureste in Spain in Alicante.
  Later in the year (December 65-January 66) was organized the first solo exhibition "EKIP Kronik" held at Sala Miqueldi in Bilbao. In December 1966, a second solo exhibition at Gallery La Pasarela in Seville. Text of the catalog was written by Thomas Llorenç.
In January 1967 the group takes part in the eighteenth Salon de la Jeune Peinture in Paris. In February, EKIP Kronik organizes a solo exhibition in the gallery Val i 30 in Valencia. In April, taking part in a group exhibition Bande Dessinée et Figuration Narrative, organized by Gerald Gassiot-Talab at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. Summer solo exhibition in the gallery Barandiarán in San Sebastian and participation in the Salon Latinoamericano del Grabado in Havana. In October, solo exhibition in the gallery Aixelà in Barcelona.
In February 1968 the group took part in the V Festival des Arts Plastiques de la Côte d'Azur, in Antibes. Also organized two solo exhibitions in Italy, one in Milan, Gallery L'Agrifoglio, where they were shown the first pictures from the series La recuperación. Another was held in the Gallery Il Girasole, Rome. From September to November, "EKIP Kronik has participated in various group exhibitions in Italy and France. Some works from the series La recuperación were presented in December at the personal exhibition in the gallery Val i 30.
During 1969, the group puts their work on two personal exhibitions: one in April and May in the gallery Cultart, Madrid, another in December in the gallery Grises, Bilbao.

"EKIP Kronik, sixties.

EKIP Kronik "experimenting with techniques and resources, pop art, including color, working with the images obtained from the media. Also, they use the artistic avant-garde of the 20 th century painting and preceding centuries to create their works. Using images taken from classical Spanish painting 17 - 18 century and works of some avant-garde artists 20 century, allowed in the context of their work time to implement new ideas and identify prospects, as the history of art and the state of political, economic and social issues that time.
In the period from May to October 1970 they took part in the exhibition Kunst Und Politik, organized Bussmann en el Badischer Kunstverein in Karlsruhe, Wuppertal and Cologne. In the exhibition was attended by many French and German artists, including Aillaud, Biras, Rancillac, Telemaque, Vostell, Staeck, as well as some Italian and Spanish, such as Guttuso, Spadari, Arroyo, Canogar, Genovés. The exhibition was conceived by analogy with the "Salons de la Jeune Peinture" and "Le Monde en question", and showed signs of the French May. In recent months, the EKIP Kronik "held two solo exhibitions. The first in the Sala Honda in Cuenca. Second Gallery Val i 30 in Valencia is the third time, after which the group signed a contract with this gallery. They also participate in a group exhibition Aspects du racisme, Paris.
In March and May 1971 EKIP Kronik "holds two solo exhibitions in Germany: Gallery Klang (Cologne) and Gallery Poll (Berlin).

From May to September 1971 EKIP Kronik "participates in a collective exhibition 1 ª Mostra Internacional d'Art. In November, the group spends a solo exhibition in the Colegio de Arquitectos (Barcelona), which represents the work of a series Policía y Cultura.
In a series Policía y Cultura «EKIP Kronik" expressed its negative attitude towards authoritarianism and the forces of public order, not only in Spain but also abroad, condemning the police action in May 1968. The prisoners were and the invasion of Vietnam. Policía y Cultura brought the band international recognition, due primarily to the picture Pin-Pam-Pop.
