Ясно ведь, как белый день, кто здесь прав, а кто виноват. Если г-н Сушко не только увлекал подчиненных на противозаконные и аморальные деяния, но и шел при этом, как говорится, в первых рядах, то спросить и с него, казалось бы, следовало так, дабы другим подобные безобразия творить не повадно впредь было, а спросить некому. Впору вообще задуматься, откуда такая осторожность. Чем вообще объясняется столь трепетно-нежное отношение к распоясавшемуся руководителю? Неужели генеральный директор пусть даже Национального заповедника столь значимая фигура, что в регионе на него управы не находится? Губернатор, на чье имя идут челобитные, тоже вроде бы не мальчик и вполне способен, казалось бы, грюкнуть кулаком по столу. Но что-то не получается. Как там в киноклассике? «Меня терзают смутные сомнения»?
По информации областного совета, ныне проводится дополнительная следственная проверка по фактам незаконной «экспроприации» с кладбищ Василивского района мальтийских крестов и надмогильных плит. Чем обернется эта проверка лично для г-на генерального директора, можно лишь гадать. Но сама эта дикая история подходит к концу. Понадобилось несколько месяцев, чтобы в село Скельцы благодаря настойчивости депутатов сельского, районного и областного советов наконец-то были возвращены украденные памятники. Дабы успокоить души умерших запорожских казаков, отец Вадим, священник местной церкви, как и положено, провел на кладбище панихиду.
В связи с этой историей уместно было бы, наверное, вспомнить, что на Сечи довольно широко практиковалось наказание за воровство. В подобных случаях виновного приковывали к позорному столбу и проходящие мимо казаки могли воспользоваться лежащими рядом киями – гибкими деревянными дубинками. Случалось, проштрафившиеся стояли у столба неделями, а если преступление вызывало, как бы сейчас сказали, широкий общественный резонанс, казаки могли забить виновного насмерть. Неизвестно, правда, какую меру наказания определили бы осквернителям казацких могил наши предки. Ничего подобного у них не было. Наверняка бы запороли…
У нас нравы иные. Мы все больше налегаем на эпистолярный жанр. И хотя дело это хлопотное и зачастую не очень эффективное, ничего другого защитникам захоронений пращуров не остается. Ну разве что еще можно судиться с теми же вандалами.
Не совсем понятно, почему в подобных случаях безмолвствуют правоохранительные органы. Если учесть, что в одном только Василивском районе Запорожской области насчитывается около 400 археологических памятников – курганов, древних захоронений и т.п., неплохо было бы озаботиться их сохранностью. В противном случае, то, что случилось, повторится еще не раз. Если памятники прошлого воруют в открытую, значит, кому-то это надо, верно? Не удастся уйти с добычей с одного кладбища, вандалы непременно придут на другое. Неужели не ясно? И что тогда? Очередной поток жалоб? А если случится так, что осквернители древних захоронений останутся неизвестными, с кого прикажете спрашивать?
Еще в начале 90-х Украинское общество по охране памятников истории и культуры разработало программу «Некрополи Украины». Увы, казацкие могилы она пока не защищает. Равно как и захоронения более позднего времени.
Вывод напрашивается сам собой: если мы действительно дорожим наследием предков, своей славной историей, если «любовь к отеческим гробам» не просто декларируется у нас к месту и не к месту с самых высоких трибун, а подтверждается реальными делами, пора, как и велел г-н президент, «быть серьезными к Хортице». И вообще давно следовало бы взглянуть на «колыбель казачества» и прилегающие к ней районы не глазами туриста, а глазами прямого потомка запорожских казаков. Может, тогда хотя бы что-то изменилось на Хортице в лучшую сторону. А пока там нет настоящего хозяина, человека неравнодушного, совестливого, надежды на добрые перемены тщетны. Себя-то обманывать не надо: не бывает так, чтобы целый ворох проблем, копившихся годами, «рассосался» сам собой. Проблемы своими действиями или бездействием всегда создают конкретные люди. Людям их и решать. Спокойно, взвешенно. По государственному. Главное, чтобы был результат. Хортица с ее многовековой непростой историей давно это заслужила и коль объявили ее наши поводыри национальной святыней, просто обязаны отвечать за свои слова. Иначе грош им цена на блошином рынке. В конце концов, даже самые большие начальники приходят и уходят. Что гетманы, что губернаторы, что президенты. А Хортица вечна. Единственная и неповторимая. Такой в веках и останется.
