Over time Nilus departs from the realist genre and in his works begin appearing romantic landscapes.

Not so hard on his works as Nilus. Even while living in Odessa, Petr, returning home, he burned all that was in the studio. Bukovetsky once, passing through the yard, saw the picture, prepared for destruction. He asked a friend to give him this canvas and hung it in his art gallery. Then he asked Nilus this work to the exhibition, where she was a great success.
