We can not ignore , however , is the fact that the logic of Western and post-Soviet market is different. What is sold for 172,750 USD there , there can be neprodvaemo and a tenth of that amount - and vice versa. So Konstantin and John Preston, in my view , correct. Write Kotarbinsky unpretentious flowers so the edge - he would go to the local auctions for "cheers".

Cyril, first of all, I do not buy Ukrainian books on American auctions. In the few cases where I happened to compete there for old and rare Ukrainian publications , all was still , and I, alas , turned out in its tail. Secondly, we are not saying who ever buys Kotarbinski at Western auctions , because it was not sold in quantities sufficient to make generalizations. For costly work for which you have paid attention , I would be surprised to learn that it was acquired by Russian buyers - that is my subjective impression.

Added after 5 minutes
Clarify once again that the interest of the author's name , which told a colleague Kaffsky. Question is removed , since the name of the picture , it appears, is in the file name : " the fire ."

Of course, " subjective feelings " important thing, but "compilation" can do, with sales statistics Kotarbinski work.
Next:
1. of 59 works Kotarbinski (45 lots of paintings and 14 - graphics) only 10 works were exhibited at the Ukrainian and Russian auctions, of which only three of the paintings (two on one and one on Sovkome Corners), the remaining seven - graphics.
2. Kotarbinski, for example, in the 90's has not sold, and began selling it in the 2000s, when the Western auctions generally started selling Russian art - namely, in 2003, Sotheby's sold the first thing Kotarbinski based on AI.
3. about " extensive work ". Most the expensive and I did not show, and it's:
