By the way Pavel Tchelitchew, and Nikolai Kalmakoff were visonary artists in the European-modernists sense ... I would call them "artists from some Paris cafe".

But Nikolai Roerich was also a sort of a spiritual teacher (he was one of the founders of the Theosophy teaching and the society) ... Lived for many years in the Himalayan mountains ... I don't think that New Age movement could be possible without of the Theosophical base.
