There is a more complex issue: how to sell the painting contemporary artist (or photographer) on the west auction? I perfectly understand that there are primary and secondary market, the auction only resells the work, but where to begin something?: shy: can anyone have had such an experience?

No, the auction is not only resells the work.

Auction Houses distinction between primary and secondary markets do not comply and as a secondary, and their staff regularly refer to the artists and their successors with a request to give them work, so you can simply apply to the auction house and offer a picture that you want to sell.
Of course, guarantees that the work will be accepted, no, but why not try?

That is precisely the point that this path has already been tested. The auctioneer refused to take the work of artists who have not participated in international exhibitions and have not received wide resonance. You're right, exceptions are made, and work directly on the artists sometimes sold, but it is only in the case of well-known authors.

how to be an artist who sells his relatively good works in private collections of its high quality, go to "enslave" under the terms of the gallery does not want to, but wants to promote their own work through the auction?

There has to choose. I think that without a gallery artist impossible to build a real career - you can regret it, you can enjoy this, but it is so. It depends on your ambitions, if you're comfortable selling work in a confidential manner, without show, without participation in various prestigious events - Your right, but it will take time before the auction houses to hear about you and want to have with you business. And you can find an honest and professional gallerist (and do not mind me, these are, I'll know some of them), which will deal with your promotion is probably more professional than you do. Do not forget that for many important events are not invited to the artists, but only gallery.

Regarding the bondage I yuy said that compared with European ones, where the rate is not below 50%, and especially the U.S. (many take up to 80%) of the terms of the proportion of gallery owner is quite acceptable to talk about slavery is not necessary.

And finally, name even one of the artist, who managed to push myself without gallery or agent? This is a mythical beast, the nature of such does not exist: p
But I wish you good luck in any case.

like those, I'll know some of them
but from this moment more in detail please?))

totally agree with you - a professional gallery owner who promotes young artists and Photographers (and in this case I am referring to the latter) that knows the laws, so to speak, a business - as deystsovat, which works to guide, to whom should they give to whom a higher price sell, etc. that's just my stereotype: artful gallery owners, who smelled a profit and are prepared to invest, shit out of candy will make and sell it so that more buyers will be licking their lips in spite of the dray prices, and the artist will be able to unwind, but the artist himself will get a penny, and fair gallery owners are working together with the artist and for the sake of art, but are known only to a narrow range, and prices for them are secondary. so, historically, razve not?

No. Your generalization too strong - as is generally characteristic of generalizations
As galeristok very professional, while the crystal integrity, courteous and friendly, quite unlike the shark, which you describe, I can give an example, Marina Obraztsova and Irina Filatova (gallery "Fine Arts"), deservedly good reputation for Krokin, y Marina Loshak and Masha Silin (Gallery Proun ") - limited to these names, adding that it could cause a few more examples, though I know there are not many galleries in Moscow.
Actually, you should understand that even unrolled an artist may not receive a penny from the definition. In the end, serfdom was abolished in Russia, I think, in 1861, and he can go to another gallery, and may try to do without the gallery - for work on promotion is done. In fact, often does so.

Of course, I know, and gallery owners, gangsters - this time I will not give examples, but somehow in a different time - why not lead,
Concerning the "candy of shit", I hope you understand that this is a matter of taste. It is hard to imagine that the gallery owners, selecting the artists themselves, I would say to himself: "Ah, but this is too good an artist, I am not interested in it, grease will not get him!" But this - this shit, let's I untwist it! ". If he decides to rabotatl with any artist, so he sees it as a potential, ideally art, in practice, of course, sometimes the commercial, but it acts in accordance with your taste.

Every day I hear the reviews of artists, from whom I have hair stands on end, what is shit, and what is not? Of course, I'll sometimes start on this forum a barrel roll at the artists who I do not like (and try to defend those who believe a good artist), but at the same time conscious of its own subjectivity.

That's all that I can tell you. Galleries, unfortunately, I can not recommend you, first, for that reason, and secondly because I do not understand anything in the pictures - for me, color photograph - no art. Sorry.

P.S. And more: in Moscow there is quite a remarkable man of great intelligence and charm, which is engaged in photography, it is Vladimir Levashov. He is not a gallery owner, he was art director at Stella Art Fond, perhaps it would be interesting - and useful - to show him your work?
