He was born in Odessa , and then went to France , listed among artists and copyists . None of his works , no signature has been found. Found only a photogravure with one of his paintings in 1883 ( see attachment) . In style and composition seem to be a bit like yours. But all this is , of course , no guarantees . The signature on your picture , like , read one. It remains to find the signature of Henry Aksenfelda and compare . But here - a problem because the artist is little known . The network sample of his signature was not found . It is not uncommon for little-known . Found black and white image of his painting brush - a portrait of his brother Auguste ( known French doctor) , but the signatures are there to be seen. Then you need to show perseverance and hard search for yourself. And /or - wait and monitor , until any of the paintings by this artist ( with a clear signature ) will not appear on any auction , at least on e-bay.
