In late 2005, Leonid Shishkin Gallery held an exhibition "Journey to Central Asia." More than two hundred paintings and graphic works of Soviet artists 1920-1990-ies were devoted to the bright, colorful, exotic world of the Soviet East.
Collect paintings and graphics associated with Central Asia, a prominent Moscow gallery owner Leonid Shishkin began long ago. Personal experiences have created a warm attitude toward this subject. The exhibition presents a vast panorama of Oriental motifs in the artist's entire Soviet period.
