As a result, Stubbs was found - he hid from the dog , but the wounds could not be avoided .

The attack was so violent that the cat had to be hospitalized . Hostess Mayor Laurie Stack took him to a nearby Wasilla , veterinarians and immediately began treatment. Injuries were serious : the dog had broken sternum bone cat , bitten feet and side , resulting in damaged outer and inner fabric, and besides, the cat suffered a rupture of the lung.

Stubbs was operated mayor (the procedure lasted three hours) after pleural drainage tube set that was in his body until Tuesday, September 3.
