Yesterday I accidentally bought the old printed catalog is very bad woman exhibition in 1975. That distant year, it appears, has been declared the Year of Women and on this occasion at the Artists' Union of Armenia there was a show of women artists. In general, it is a normal Soviet activity. But despite the fact that the catalog was printed from bad to worse, I was struck by the level of the works.
It was a big, serious, real painting, and very high quality sculpture, the exhibition shows, it is less (in quantity).
I scanned the directory and how could led to the order of images, printing was really horrible, sometimes tsvetonalozhenie generally do not fall (Portrait of Mother Mariam Aslamazyan - had to remove all red, so at least something to be seen).

In Moscow, an exhibition of Honored Artist of Russia Yuri Grigoryan

PanARMENIAN.Net - June 16, 2011 in New Arena hosts personal exhibition of Honored Artist of Russian Federation, Corresponding Member of Russian Academy of Arts Yuri Grigoryan. He was born in Nagorno-Karabakh, graduated Surikov in Moscow, was a scholar of the Union of Artists. Yuri Grigorian lives and works in Moscow since 1960, the website of the exhibition.
During the 40-year career on account of the painter part in nearly two hundred different (international, foreign , all-union, national, personal) shows. More than 50 works by Yuri Grigoryan are in the collections of public museums and galleries in Russia and the former Soviet Union, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Oriental Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow, Roy Miles Gallery in England, a museum in Germany, Schnittke and others His painting "The Armenian woman" at "Contemporary Soviet art" in Japan was awarded the gold medal. None of them do not know, but Artsvik - a woman's name , therefore artists are different, or the name of another (eg Artsrun - a male name ).
