From 21 May to 26 June 2009 an international art gallery 'Eritazh presents the exhibition "From avant-garde to expressionism. Painting, graphic arts, monotype, collage. XX - XXI Century ".

The exhibition brings together the work of three artists, fate, and whose art reflects the continuity of traditions dating back to the avant-garde art of the early twentieth century: Barbara Bubnov (1886 - 1983), Nicholas Lozovoi (1901 - 1992) and Alexander Lozovoi (b. 1949).

Barbara Bubnov, studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts on the same course with Pavel Filonov and Waldemar Matthew, participated in exhibitions of the Union of Youth, "the Knave of Diamonds", "Donkey's Tail" together with Vladimir Tatlin, Kazimir Malevich, Natalia Goncharova, Olga Rozanova and other prominent representatives of the avant-garde.

Nicholas Lozovoi - student Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, who worked side by side with Paul Filonov in a group of Masters of Analytical Art, and later, together with Kazimir Malevich in the experimental workshop at the Institute of History of Art.

Lozovoy Alexander, son of Nicholas Lozovoi, student Barbara Bubnov, a representative of the Berlin school of painting. In the work of Alexander Lozovoj reflected picturesque tradition of the artist's father, the lessons Bubnov, but also the traditions of European Neo-expressionism, perceived by the artist study at Berlin's masters.

For the first time mentioned artists were shown together in the exhibition "Traditions of St. Petersburg avant-garde", which was held in 2006 in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art.
