Default Two Kharlamov

At the next auction at Christie's will sell two works Kharlamov. The first is called "dressmaker", live and undeniable.
Another - "Choice Yablaka" just pereslaschenaya and ... in short, is not clear that Kharlamov. (Just an impression, moreover, there is no smear craquelure different.)

I was with a camera and there are now pictures.

I tried to take pictures like parts in extreme close-ups: a white cloth shirt, hands girls face.
 Well signature paintings.

Dear experts, it is interesting to know your opinion.
Buy this work I'm not going (from the first would not be refused), so that the interest purely academic.
Thank you!

First Job:

Dressmaker

That is just the case that the directory includes some work entitled "Vyberayuschaya apples. And she photographs, how to judge its small size, seems to coincide with that which is exhibited at Christie's.

«Literature
O. Sugrobova-Roth and E. Lingenauber, Alexei Harlamoff: Catalogue raisonné, Düsseldorf, 2007, p. 226, no. 201, pl. 186. »

Variance data directory and auction only in size. In the catalog, a reason given size 71 x 52, and in the auction catalog 73,5 x 54,3. But this is sometimes due to misunderstanding and, for example, work was measured before and after restoration, or errors made in the publication of the printed directory or the auction, and so on.

Incidentally, the second work is not included in the catalog-reason, but it explains the auction, was shown to specialists who worked on the catalog-reason. And those, in turn, confirmed the authenticity of the work with the assurance that it will include additional publication:

«We are grateful to Drs. Eckart Lingenauber and Olga Sugrobova-Roth for confirming the authenticity of this work, which will be included in the addendum to their catalogue raisonné on the artist. »

If you follow the logic, the organizers of the auction completely trust the authors of the catalog, and no reason to doubt, including published work there in the list of sold lots.

But the lack cracelures and overall impression of the work is questioned by some participants. The fact that this issue has been raised at the forum (http://forum.artinvestment.ru/showthread.php?t=56631). Hence conclusions can be drawn:

1. If you believe the auction, the work is genuine (if you believe what he duly consulted with the author catalog-resonator, which in turn, no errors).
2. The work was mistakenly included in the directory (this raises the question of confidence for this publication and specialists), and then was recognized by this auction.
3. The picture included in the catalog, and reasonable and on auction, this is not one and the same work (here called into question the competence of the auction house).

The final conclusion to the buyer or the specialists on this artist, with whom he will consult. I personally difficult to draw conclusions on the photo of the auction house. This is the same case, when you need more serious study.

Very interesting to see the continuation of this history because once again raised the question of confidence auctions. However, I hope that all who read this post, understand that unconditional trust auction is equivalent to madness. Buying at auction, you must consult with experts and experienced dealers in the professionalism that you believe or trust the acquisition of things all the same dealers who assume all risks.
In that case, if the picture was published in the directory are not real, it also raises the question of confidence in the directory-reason. But I hope the authors of the catalog came with all the responsibility to work on this unique release, so necessary to us all.

I would say, o "confidence" to the directory-reason, which, however, does not diminish respect for the compilers.

The number of works in the catalog-reason (Corpus) Rembrandt highly fluctuating from 711 to 350 recognized by the paintings in a different time, not to mention the drawings, three-quarters of whom are now believes Rembrandt Research Project, students were made to his studio.
