I noticed one detail, the first picture of a man, I think he has smeared sword (sword) in one hand and that in the other.

One of the works presented by Jack, probably a copy of a picture of Ivan Aivazovsky kolumbovskogo series " Ship " S-ta Maria " when moving through the ocean. Columbus on the deck is surrounded by a disgruntled crew. " Since this work was known in Aivazovsky album "Aivazovsky and it works ," 1901 edition. Unfortunately , the picture is very poor quality.

In Feodosia were written by four large paintings dedicated to the great navigator :
1) " ship" Santa Maria " in crossing the ocean ,"

2) "Columbus on the deck , surrounded by a disgruntled crew ,"

3) "Columbus saved the mast on the occasion of a fire on the Portuguese vessel, the Venetian galleys burnt off the coast of Portugal"

4) The " grand entry of Christopher Columbus and his entourage October 12, 1492 at sunrise on the American island , he named San Salvador ."

So far I only found 3 or 4 - there is an assumption that 2 - is a "rainbow "....

All four were written as I understand it in 1880 in Feodosia.

Maria ship during a storm, but then in 1892, as "one of the 4" was presented in London in 1880.
