With horror, I think that some Vekselberg buys Repin painting " Parisian cafe and podneset ... yes, the Tretyakov Gallery !

As though there without it Repin little ...

If Russia one of the rich think about the Russian culture , he would have bought the painting and brought it to Paris or the Museum d'Orsay , or the Metropolitan Museum , for example ...

I think they would have ...

Instead , we kill for the Olympics and other championships , and the next year school funding is cut in half . This I know for sure , because our school had a meeting this Monday on the matter. Thinking what to do in this regard .

Well , five pounds of lemons - a penny for these programs.
Go unnoticed in the sand .

But the decent thing to Repin reminiscent of Russian painting somewhere in Paris , London or New York - not too much would have been .

Already :
12.05.2011 14:33: The Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov plans to invest a record $ 210 million in the modernization of schools in the city Newark , New Jersey
About this in his blog, the journalist writes the Washington Post. It is worth recalling that Prokhorov owns a basketball club , " the New Jersey Nets . " The press service of ONEKSIM Gazete.Ru refused to comment on participation by Prokhorov in a new project .

The San Francisco Museum of Fine Arts is zalchik with Russian art: a hefty oryasina Makovsky, Troubetzkoy, Faberge ...

What's wrong?

And if the big picture Repin graced some of the major Western museums, it would be very nice.

It is not.

The Museum d'Orsay hang Ge, Repin, Pasternak, V. Serov.

Igor Sasha, and what you mean by the San Francisco Museum of Fine Arts ?
There is a building of Fine Art Palace next to the Presidio , it was built in the early 20 th century to World's Fair , and more art there never was exposed , there is now an educational natural science museum . Permanent exhibition of art 19 th century in San Francisco, no ( I will be glad if you correct me ) . The museum, which hangs Matisse - Picasso called the SF MOMA . It available from several paintings by Picasso exhibited one or alternatively, due to lack of space.
