Today is the birthday of the beautiful Russian artist Boris Mikhailovich Kustodiev.

He was born in Astrakhan on February 23 (7 March) in 1878 in a family of teachers of the seminary. He studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1896-1903), where his mentor was Ilya Repin. Member of the World of Art "and" Union of Russian Artists "
