In Paris rasprodadut rare drawings of Tintin creator
Rare and not previously known drawings of the famous Belgian comic character Tintin will be auctioned in Paris, reports BBC News.
According to AFP, in the auction, which will hold on May 29 in Paris auction house Drouot-Montaigne, will be presented 250 drawings, sketches and other objects related to famous works of cartoonist Georges Remi (Georges Remi), better known as Erzhe (Herge).
Among the exposed lots - pencil autograph the 18 th edition of the comic Tantane, "L'Affaire Tournesol". It is believed that Erzhe gave it to his doctor shortly before his death. The original cost of the lot, which so far has not exhibited in public, is estimated by the organizers of the auction in the amount of 90 to 120 thousand euros.
The original edition of the book "Tintin in the Congo", dated 1931 year, and numbered by hand by the artist himself, the organizers estimated at 18-20 thousand euros. Starting price of an unpublished comic book "Tintin in the Congo", executed in ink and watercolor, is from 15 to 18 thousand euros.
For the first time a newspaper reporter Tintin has appeared in the comic "Le Petit Vingtieme" in 1929. In the 2009-meters in Belgium, opened a museum Erzhe. According to museum staff, its funds are from 80 to 85 per cent of original drawings, rare books and other documents connected with the name Erzhe. Known, however, that the artist often gave an outline of friends and acquaintances, so many rare pictures were scattered around the world.
Results of the auction organizers plan to bail out at least 600 thousand euros. For comparison, the largest auction of works Erzhe, which was held in 2009 in Belgium, has collected 1.2 million euros.
