Excellent site . It would be better , of course - " Catalogue of State Museum of the Russian Federation " <! - ~ 1 ~ ->, but it is - a utopia.
What to speak of provincial museums , when the last comprehensive catalog of Russian painting timing (with black-and- white photographs , "Marks" ) was released over thirty years ago! (New leaves , but so slowly - I'm afraid not survive ).
Decently illustrated full academic catalogs in the past decade have pleased only Saratov Museum. Radishchev and Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan. (All other museum publications - "albums " foam from jam stopisyataya part of the collection ). Catalogs are a number of federal and regional museums come with old black-and- white pictures, where half the image - the image of the well-known battle scenes "War in the Crimea" ( ie - all the smoke, and can not see anything ...)
And most museums do not even have an electronic version of the catalog. ( And some - even the Internet ... ) uzhOs !
