In the photo is not clear: a smear is really the bulk (relief)?

Yes , volumetric smear - it is painting , not a poster . My problem - I can not identify the author and the approximate date . I have the suspicion that the picture for some reason was cut from the stretcher , now it simply compressed between the mat and frame ( and if so -called " replica " or shorthand for sale , why it was necessary to do this ?

If this sketch could be determined as a matter of hand pretty well-known artist Hugo Simberg , I think explanation suggested itself to itself . The artist , in early HHv . no visits to southern Europe ( Provence , Italy ), where the draw on similar topics , but this hypothesis is difficult to fit the signature on the earlier presentation at kartine.Poproboval upload some of his paintings and from -net , but not very successful .
