Foundation for Cultural Initiatives (also known as Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation) - a private charitable foundation, founded by Mikhail Prokhorov in 2004. The Foundation's activities are based on the belief that culture mobilizes creativity, promotes a better understanding of public problems and may help in solving them, is a critical resource for socio-economic development. The Foundation's mission - to promote a cultural awareness and promote cultural activities.

The first two years the fund has operated in the Greater Norilsk. Currently, the scope of the Fund's enlarged and encompasses not only the Krasnoyarsk region, but also other regions of Russia.

Literary Award, the FNL
 Calendar .. Award 2011
March 15, 2011 - the beginning of the nomination of texts for a prize.
July 31, 2011 - deadline for applications.
September 20, 2011 - The announcement longlist and start voting for the Audience Award.
November 2, 2011 - view short list and the reading of works by the finalists at the V Krasnoyarsk Book Fair (KrYaKK).
End of January 2012 - a talk show with the selection and award winner, and awarding the Audience Choice Award.

Rewarding

1. Award winner receives a prize of $ 700 000 + statuette-symbol of the Award.
If a work written in collaboration, is the winner of the Prize, the cash award prize is divided between the co-authors in equal shares.
2. Each finalist, got a short list gets to 40 000.
3. Audience Choice Award is given to the author of works on the voting results on the Internet and /or television show and makes 200 000 rubles.
The Fund compensates travel expenses (transportation) to the participants, included in the shortlist and winner of the online voting, if they come to Moscow for the final debate of the other cities /countries.
