Today, in the Samara Regional Museum of. P.Alabina opened one of the largest exhibitions of this year - «Currents».
First, one of the most important exhibition centers, supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Samara region is a retrospective of contemporary art in the region.

Exhibition «Currents» - this is the first attempt to structure a plurality of directions and personal artistic vectors of unofficial art in Samara with the 60s of the twentieth century to the 2012-th year. The history of art is conceptualized as Samara history techniques, motifs and images that are in constant formation and mutual intersection.
Main task of exposition of the exhibition - to give the viewer the opportunity to follow the general principles of creative thinking inherent to the authors, working in a specific "Samara" context. The exhibition presents the viewer is really a significant step in the art of our region, helping him to understand, is the project possible, "Museum of Modern Art," the Samara region.
The exhibition is divided into two "flow", two lines of "emotional" and "intelligent", which in turn followed the chronology of the 1960th - to the present. The exhibition will feature over 80 works, including works from the collections of the Samara Regional Art Museum, Art Museum of Togliatti, and private collections.
