A talented artist of the Uzbek school of painting, founded by Alexander Nikolayevich Volkov.
In 1919-1921 he studied at the Turkestan edge art school in Tashkent Isupova Alexei and Sergei Yudin.
He was a member of the Tashkent branch of AHRR (1926-1929). Participated in exhibitions since 1928.
Personal exhibitions took place in Tashkent (1960, 1965, 1981).
His works are kept in the Tretyakov Gallery and in the regional museum collections.
In the collection of the Nukus Museum im.I.V.Savitskogo (Uzbekistan), more than 800 works.

Yervand Semenovich Kochar (real name Kocharian, 14 (26) July 1899, Tbilisi - 21 August 1979, Armenia) - Armenian sculptor and painter. People's Artist of the USSR (1976).

He studied art in Tiflis in Yeghishe Tadevosyan, then in 1918-1919. in Moscow in free art workshops for Pyotr Konchalovsky. In 1921-1936 gg. lived abroad, mostly in Paris. Back in the USSR, was engaged to a great extent monumental art, creating, in particular, the sculptural composition "Eagle Zvartnots (bronze, 1955)," David Sassoon (Copper, 1959), "Vartan Mamikonyan" (Copper, 1964).
