Here is an example of yet another reception, allowing visually enlarge the image sharpness. Pathbreaker it is El Greco. It is mainly written for the churches, and his paintings were to be placed at a distance from the audience. Clarity hits brightness while visually weakened. To enhance the apparent sharpness of the sharp transitions from light to dark El Greco additionally increased the contrast, darkening of the dark and lightening of the light. This method also led to an apparent increase in the volume, because the light seems closer.
In this technique in the future has developed an interesting fate. For 300 years it was almost forgotten, rarely used by artists such as Canaletto. But since the beginning of 1930 he experienced a rebirth: he is actively used by photographers to enhance the visual sharpness of edges in images. This print jobs to put together two frames: one - the original negative, and the second - double-positive with a very pale, fuzzy and slightly defocused image. This technique, called then "blurred escaped" was revived for the third time today, reincarnated in the form of a filter (unsharp mask) in the program Adobe Photoshop, using for the same purpose (improving the visual field) but in digital photography. But I can not fail to note that the "wider audience" it was possible only after 1931: after the publication of PG Van Zittert work, reveal the inner essence of the reception. The real work was devoted to the first practical suitability of the method of solution of integral equations of convolution type, now called the method of van Zittert (very, very serious mathematics). A compelling example of how science is done know-how of the great masters to the public. |

From the darkness emerges as the divine beauty of creation, as a gift ... it is ephemeral ... So some thought, knowing nothing about what will happen to the painting in the twentieth century ... The ephemeral life, this explains the presence of all creatures, which eat the fruit of the still lifes, Van Huysum, for example ... Cycle of life - dances on vases, pictures nests ... It's almost philosophical reflections ... Books, watches and, of course, skull ... without ernichanya, with due reverence ... Frame to the picture is not suitable, it should be somewhat darker and silver, all the time will look thinner. |

absolutely true. I would from such work did not refuse.
I will try to explain to the "male" example. I have this work associated with the Japanese car Lexus LS600h. In the technical understanding of these peak automotive industry. Some have stronger motor or shocking design. Others have wider wheels and shiny and hums loudly. And this machine, at first glance, all elegantly but conservatively and gray. When a well-read, go into the technical or optical parts, you know what to consider in detail under the "magnifying glass", each shtuchka elaborated on the basis of experience and a great pioneering work, sometimes to the elusive understanding, to date, height. Details of shocking the system and the effect of conditioning of each individual passenger leads in awe. Every single mechanical part is at the technical level of Swiss watches. Etc etc. Here you got out of the car, and went 10 meters and you have an elegant but conservative gray car. But I would not have refused. Crowds of tourists pass by in a museum, the work is not evident. But to make the photos I waited about ten minutes. A few people stared at work as if bewitched. |

Flowers are not just lifeless, they're made skilful hand of special paper or polyethylene. It is surprising that the artist was so farsighted, and all the details, masterfully portrayed the dead flowers of the 21 st century, which are sold in many boutiques and even florists and mass-produced in factories as well as manually anywhere and everywhere.

She explained that in the late 16 th century glaze in fashion and became a sign of aerobatics in the still lifes. Usually applied to 8x layers. Picture effect on my work, she explained that the painting was once heavily polluted and restorer when cleaning was forced to withdraw a couple of layers of glaze, along with the dirt. According to her on the tulips and the rose and the front peaches left no more than 4 layers. At the peach in the background and leaves no more than 5-6 layers, and the grapes were not touched by the restorer, and remained dirty. |

The upper layers of polluted and today's restoration, removing varnish new means, often removed and finishing glaze, making painting a bright and open. It spoils the impression of controversy among themselves the restorers. |

El Greco's use of zinc white in large numbers, contrary to all rules. Even schools do not recommend doing so as not to spoil the color. But zinc does not darken with time, and brighter, so this effect. And the rules in order to break them.: D

And whether prepared by the restorer "return" to restore the lost glaze in the previous form? Of course taking into account changes in color, tone, environment painting. |
