I absolutely do not want to belittle the greatness, nor diminish the diversity of Russian church architecture, but to say that in France the whole church architecture is reduced to the Flamboyant Gothic style - is pure folly.
Let's start with Notre Dame de Paris: it is not flaming Gothic style, as well as the phenomenal Chartres Cathedral, they were built before the advent of this style.
But even within this style of Strasbourg Cathedral is totally different from, for example, Reims, Rouen and Amiens.
Already in Paris and its environs have Romanesque churches, one example - bvzilika Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The Romanesque architecture of the south-west of France - that's a separate article. Next, we should mention the church of the French Renaissance, a great many churches Baroque and classical 17 th century, and, finally, the neo-classicism, the 19 th century.
