Came to Moscow legendary American photographer Steve Schapiro (Steve Shapiro). Yesterday at the Center of Photography them. Lumiere brothers opened his solo exhibition " Living America"
More than 100 black-and- white pictures , mostly 1960 - 1980 : American life in the '60s , the hippies , the portraits of Hollywood celebrities and artists ( Andy Warhol's Factory , etc. ) , street photography (rallies, protests) , genre shooting.

The exhibition has received extensive, although photographs cover a short period of time, but to show life of the 60 's in full.

The opening itself was Steve Shapiro, despite his advanced age. Also , the Minister Counselor for Press and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Embassy in Russia Jeffrey Sexton ( read out the text of a piece of paper in Russian, and a heavy accent ). Steve Shapiro was laconic, but made a good impression made wise by experience photographer.

Martin Scorsese is good.

At the exhibition a lot of good shots, which can be viewed until December 9.

A separate room for a special project , " The Godfather. Family Album." Steve Shapiro made this series during the filming of Francis Ford Coppola.
Sold and an album of photos of "The Godfather ," is 3500 r.
There is also a catalog of the exhibition , as well as posters, one of which is for me personally signed Steve Shapiro, and I am very happy) ))

Sold and an album of photos of "The Godfather ," is 3500 r.
