Alcove, it seems to me that the only (and the poor ) the ability to learn something - the history of the picture itself. Most likely, the model was known in his enterprise, and the portrait is written clearly for the Hall of Fame , or any picture of front-rank production (which in general are one and the same). It is possible that after the model of retirement was in a portrait of her family ( again figure there , then perhaps it is all the family got to you - the artist painted a portrait commissioned by and for the family - the figure). Here are some such considerations , but generally , I think , would be almost impossible to find (unless you ask the great purpose). But is it the one great goal of such efforts ?
