On January 29, 2010 Gallery behalf of the Lumiere brothers, the exhibition will present a draft prepared for the 100 anniversary of Moscow wonderful photographer Samoilovych Naum Granovsky. In the recently published encyclopedia "People of Moscow" Naum Granovsky devoted a separate article. Fortunately in the twentieth century Naum Granovsky - one of the most famous fotoletopistsev capital, withdraw it from the late 1920's, when he was 16-year old boy came to Moscow and began working in the Press-Tass cliche, until 1984, when the publishing house "Moscow Worker" the release of his album "Moscow, year after year."

For more than half a century of work in TASS Granovsky managed to capture the history of Moscow in the twentieth century. In his pictures you can find two or three-story old Moscow, where taxis are unusual. By the end of 1930 for his work arises the image of the new city, an updated Master Plan for Reconstruction - with monumental avenues, subway stations, the granite embankments. In the 1940's his pictures retain shape frontline capital: soundless balloons sticking to the roofs of anti-aircraft guns and trumpets "listener" trying to catch the rumble of the approaching bombers in advance. In 1950 he withdrew the construction of skyscrapers, the interiors of new buildings of Moscow State University, the Foreign Ministry ... In the 1970 photograph of him in the evening promenade lights became one of the savers program "Time".
Granovsky was "spoiled" exhibition projects in the Soviet era, he was a participant largest photographic exhibitions 1937, 1955, 1958, 1973, 1984 period.
The purpose of this project in the Central House of Artists, in the first place, to show Moscow audiences the unique photographic material, which are presently used only by scholars and collectors. Level of photos Naum Granovsky allows us not only to find the familiar streets and buildings of our city in the last century, but also realize how much skill the author distinguishes it from other "casual" photos of Moscow.
