Not at all diminishing the greatness of Russian culture, I beg to differ with you: it speaks primarily or even solely on the desire to use new market with a not very sophisticated and creditworthy clientele.

The desire to use the new market, of course, present. Credibility, too. What is strange is that Russian art is most interested in those who belong to this culture?      And anyway, Russia with its culture is an integral part of Europe, and therefore seem strange to attempt to equate it to some less educated savages. Savages do not fly into space and have no scientific school. Although many European countries just do not have any of his scientific school, nor any meaningful art.
