In the Marble Palace Russian Museum 25.06 exhibition opens one of the famous contemporary abstract artists of Russian origin, William Bruya.

In 1959 the young artist to exhibit his works in his apartment in Leningrad. In 1961, organized by the engraving shop as an apprentice, making acquaintance with the leading artists of the formalists-60-ies. In 1963 he began working with abstraction. In 1969, undertook the publication (in 9 copies) of the book «EX ADVERSO» - a collection of engravings, supplemented by text, performed manually. In 1965-1970 is exhibited in the semi-official Gallery Shop Artists and group exhibitions of artists of Leningrad. In 1971 he moved to Paris, is exhibited in the Cite Internationale des Arts, Anton Meyer Gallery in Geneva. In the same year he met with Alex Liberman, art director of Vogue magazine in New York, who becomes his patron and enters it in terms of the artistic elite of New York. In 1973 creates a series of works «Unified Fields». Gugenheim Museum in New York, the artist gets a job in this series, and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) 4 works. In 1975-1977 Norton Dotzh bought for his informal Museum of Russian Art more than 30 papers and during the 80's has organized several exhibitions with the participation of these paintings. In 1973-1983 for the young artist are coming golden age. It is exposed in one of the most prestigious modern art galleries in New York Andre Emmerich, working in the loft in Manhattan and lives between Paris and New York. In 1985-2002 mayor of Paris has provided the artist studio in front of the Pompidou Center.
