The first exhibition of the Museum will present avant-garde art in Geneva
When the avant-garde art museum there are only hypothetical reality, its creators wanted to gather a collection of art, which simultaneously would be "very Russian, very Jewish and simply unique." As a result, the meeting turned out 400 canvases 33 artists, whose names are proud not only venous Patriotic Vanguard. The first exhibition of the Museum of the avant-garde, entitled "Fatherland, my - in my mind: art without borders" will show, alas, not in Moscow, and the Palais des Nations in Geneva. Admire the works Bakst and Marc Chagall, Soutine and Gudiashvili, Bulatov and Kabakov will be from 12 June to 17 July. Then display promise to show the rest of European capitals, as well as Russia.

of likely no accident that Geneva was chosen as the starting point of travel of the Russian Jewish Avant-Garde. Furthermore, in this city periodically lives creator of the Museum of the avant-garde Vyacheslav Kantor, Switzerland - the first country which in the modern world is associated with the concept of tolerance. A basic idea of the exhibition project - not only to tell the world that the most famous avant-garde was born in Russia Empire, but to think about how this productive idea of a tolerant society.
It goes without saying that in order to be heard across the international space, you need to show the public exposure of at least remarkable. The collection MAGMA collected works of such artists as Leon Bakst, Alexander Tyshler, Chaim Soutine, Ossip Zadkine, Marc Chagall, Sonia Delaunay, Ilya Kabakov, Eric Bulatov. These, of such different artists belonging to different waves of avant-garde and the history of different countries, brings together keen historical memory, inherent in the Jewish people. It is equally readable on canvas, Marc Chagall and Kabakov. At the Geneva exhibition will show a total of 40 paintings, but among them are rare "flood" and "Director of the weather" Alexander Tischler, "Confectioner of Kanya" and "The Woman in Green" Chaim Soutine, "clown-musician" Marc Chagall.
Initially, the avant-garde art museum was conceived precisely as a "traveling museum". Talks are held on to show his collection at the Russian exhibition spaces. Nevertheless, short-term plans had been on the conquest of Europe and the United States. Paintings famous avant-garde would have to see the best museums in the world. And considering the fact that the collection continues to grow MAGMA (Mr. Kantor, for example, active dreaming of Rothko's mature work, and at least one product of HMG znera), we can assume that the exhibition gets to the fatherland in its best condition.
