Found a rare picture of Isaac Brodsky (1883 - 1939)

Sotheby's has announced that the upcoming London's Russian art auctions will be put up a picture of Isaak Brodsky's "nanny with children", is considered lost about a hundred years ago. The canvas is estimated at 300 - 500 thousand pounds sterling (450 -750 thousand dollars). Bidding is scheduled for June 8.

The works of Isaac Brodsky (1883 - 1939) appear on the art market rarely. "The nurse with children enrolled in Sotheby's from an Italian private collection. Acquired the painting in 1950 thought it a collector piece by Claude Monet, for some unknown reason, reduced in size and with illegible signature. At the request of the new owner is now restored and even lengthen a strip of linen. Subsequently, Sotheby's experts examined the cloth and with the assistance of Natalia Balakin, director of the museum Brodsky in St. Petersburg, were able to attribute it again and restore it to original size.

In the Sotheby's catalog for the auction on June 8 as the most expensive lot was listed a picture of Boris Kustodiev "Country Fair" (1 - 1.5 million pounds). Following are paintings by Mikhail Larionov ( "Flowers on the Veranda, 700 - 900 thousand pounds), Mikhail Nesterov (Relight and Oslabya, 400 - 600 thousand pounds), Konstantin Korovin (Sebastopol Boulevard, 400 - 600 thousand pounds). Total for auction on June 8 put up 28 lots.

Specialized "Russian days," Sotheby's in London will be held from 8 to 10 June.
