This provision applies regardless of whether the three-dimensional images, or drawn on paper, fabric, walls, etc., or a photo taken with the camera. The ban is justified authentic hadith which state that the image of a living being prohibitively painful torment and threaten the one who does it. The ban is justified by the fact that such images could lead to idolopochitaniyu (shirk), because to them often, sometimes, the respect and reverence that befits only God. Images are prohibited, and because it is a kind of attempt to compete with Allah in creation, but also because of the temptation that lurks in some images, showing naked women.

But not all so sad, there is relief:
Nothing is forbidden in the drawing, if the pictures are not depicted naked people or chtolibo beyond the limits of decency. In addition, prohibited exalt pictures and images, and worship them. If these constraints are satisfied, then draw people, animals, nature, etc. allowed. Islam also prohibits the sculpture statues or sculptures of living beings.
Draw pictures with people, animals, etc. allowed, if not to represent them that is contrary to Islamic principles. It is important to understand that Muslims do not reproduce the "images" ( "Image") from the belief that the Day of Resurrection they will be asked to inspire those "images" ( "Image") that they have created, competing in the world with God. They do not depict living creatures also because they believe that their house will drop no angels. This opinion is based on several authentic Hadiths of the Prophet.
