March 23, 2013 at the gallery "on the sandy" opened a traditional exhibition artists, geographers "GEO-painting. GEO-graphics. "Trade Association of Artists geographers held annually in this gallery, this exhibition is the 9th, it is titled" Bright faces of the earth. "
The exhibition is attended by 37 artists - members of the Association. Geography - the science of nature, it is not surprising that the most favorite genre of art - landscape. His landscape works show Lydia Kogan, Alexander Amelin, Yevgeny Leonov, Zoe Gorkaeva, Alex Armand, Raisa Yakovlev and many other authors. But despite the general genre, each author is original and does not like the others.
Artists Association is not some stiff mandatory creative limits, and because of their work can be found a wide variety of artistic movements, genres, themes and techniques. Here we see and still lifes (Yevgeny Leonov, Marina Cherkovets) and flowers (Irina Goryachkina Natalia Gnatovsky), and portraits (George Zaitsev), and the story genre (Irina Volkova, George Zaitsev, Tatiana Rodionova, Izmailov).
In addition to paintings on display are other art forms - modeled by Yury Andreyev, graphic caricatures and cartoons of Michael Lokoshchenko, jewelry from natural stones Rostovtsev Natalia and Svetlana Chernova.

Irina Goryachkina: "The works are diverse, they reflect the worlds, universes of each person. In geography, people do not come by accident. And so in all that we see, we do not get tired to admire the beauty of nature, the beauty of all of miraculous. And it inspires us to be creative and develop in this direction. "
Gallery director of "The Sandy" Irina Koroleva shares his impressions:
- This, the 9th, the show I particularly sunk into the soul, because, first, this time it's a lot of new members, of all ages, and their paintings cover a wide geography - from Moscow to Peru. Second, a very large variety - not only geographically, but also creative: different stories, different compositions and so everyone is refracted differently. The exhibition looks a little different. Artists geographers are very different from other communities because they do not have such a closed and even jealousy, as the professionals. Here it is not, because everything is so and self-sufficient, and are open all communicate, drawn to each other, support and encourage each other to improve. Apparently, the nature of geography allows very different outlook on life and to communicate with your peers, and it shows in the pictures. I think this is a very good show, it will be interesting to all different categories of visitors.

Association of Artists in geography - an informal creative group of people who share a geographical science - learning geographical (and similar) departments of universities (Moscow State University, Moscow State Pedagogical University, and others) and a subsequent career in different (and academic and applied) areas of the science.
