Photographer Marion Groen has done an interesting series of photographs of mothers and their daughters in a beauty contest. You look at pictures, and even do not believe that all participants 6-7 years. In fact "I am your fantasy" - mom to daughters see it, do whatever they wanted to become.

Child beauty pageants have long caused controversy and outrage - of harm to the child's mind, it seems obvious, but they are still all over the world (especially, they are popular in the U.S.). Photographer in Paris Marion Groen /Marion Gronier shot an amazing project for children involved in them - they are "a reflection of" the desires and missed opportunities of their own mothers.

Portraits in the project are laid out in pairs (as in the exhibition and the book), on the left page, a portrait of my mother, on the right - amazingly like her daughter, dressed in a dress with sequins, with nalakirovannoy hair and bright make-up - like a ball or prom . And everything is good, if not to know that her daughter just something six or seven years.

The project «I am your fantasy» was filmed in 2009-2011. in small towns in the vicinity of Douai in France. The girls were participating in local children's beauty contest, organized by their own mothers.

The text of the draft, written in the first person, Marion describes the feeling girl, preparing to enter the contest podium in front of the judges. "My head itches, my legs were shaking, my heart jumped to my throat, and the thundering music takes away into the distance. I'm scared, I'm so scared, I'm looking through the eyes of my mother, she looks at me, her mouth smiling, panic in her eyes, she sends me a kiss, no, it shows me what I should do - do not forget to send kisses to the jury! I go quickly out of the corner to the center of the stage, I want now to turn into someone else, run away, escape. I bend my knees, get up, take a step, we are hooked heel, trying to pull her skirt and torn. My mother cried, I fall ... ".

The visual style shooting of Marion Groner is not too similar to the project by Sergey Bratkov "Kids", but this series has something in common - the sad eyes of children who are forced to implement a parent's dream of a "beautiful."
