Sapozhnikov - Your opinion?
Lord forum users, I'm here the other day looking through the work of one artist. Personally, I most liked. I wanted to ask your opinion.
Artist name is Alexander Sapozhnikov, he was born in 1925 in Moscow. A disciple of Deineki and V. Favorsky. Known primarily as an illustrator of books, not only in Russia but also in Europe. Illustrating he was involved in the 50's and 60's. For decades, art has designed over 200 books. Among the recognized successes - woodcuts to the poetry of Pablo Neruda, Ronsard, to prose M. Frisch. Belyaev, A. Zeregers and others charge for this very good money - around 300 rubles for making this one book. Graphics from him, of course, is not bad, but personally I much more like it, that he began to create in the late 70's. The reasons why he switched to oil - reducing orders for clearance in connection with the development of technology, he graduated from college Nemirovich-Danchenko, and even a couple of years playing in the theater. We see this trend have always lived there. I would like to hear your feedback about the work and how much you think it might cost.
By the way, interesting as it draws the most part: a finger and knife)
