The Moscow Museum of Modern Art in conjunction with a gallery of pop /off /art gallery and exhibition are Marina Gisich Vitaly Pushnitsky - the first museum retrospective in Moscow, tracing the career of an artist since the 1990s.
Vitaly Pushitskii (b. 1967) - an artist of many media, explores in his work space and time, the root cause of art and its current state. It works with equal perfection in painting and sculpture, print and hand-made techniques on paper, as well as at the intersection of various art forms, while constantly developing new technology. Pushitskii has gained popularity in the international art scene and is an iconic artist in St. Petersburg.
Vitaly Pushitskii understands art as one of the mechanisms of time. The modern artist is a connecting element in the context of historical periods. The author in his work explores the personal sense of time, based on personal spatial perception, creates images of landscapes of the world, is constantly in dialogue with classical art, crossing it with the modern. The exhibition will present a series of several dozen Vitaly Pushnitsky that develop into a complex narrative, where there is a branch from the main narrative, but all together form a single story. The curator thinks the project in the structure of the "novel" with a multitude of characters and narrative lines that will be presented on different floors of the Museum of Modern Art. Moscow Retrospective will bring together works from all important for the evolution of the author's series - of the many museums, federal and private, the most significant private collections in Russia and Europe. The exhibition includes both canvases, never before shown in Russia, as well as new works, including those designed specifically for the space of the Museum of Modern Art. The exhibition goes monographic album catalog with texts Olesya Turkina and Jane Neal.
