Art Gallery of Elena Zenin is a CHA (2 Room)
from April 17 to May 21 retrospective exhibition of paintings [B]Nikolai Gorlov«Moscow seventieth», dated to 95 anniversary of the birth of the painter. The catalog of his works, which will be presented at the exhibition opening April 17th at 17.00.

The exhibition presents around 100 works created during the period from 1950 to 1970. Nikolai Gorlov (1917 - 1987) often worked in the genre of the urban landscape, loved to write to Moscow, literally "sick" home town. He left a lot of the Moscow scenery, a variety of favorite cities - from small to large-scale works etude canvases. In his paintings appears before the audience leaving Moscow - buildings that are now history. The hotel "Russia" - before the demolition, Novinsky Boulevard and Dog Playground - before reconstruction, Gorky Park of Culture - in its authentic Soviet state. And the quiet streets of Moscow in its original form ...

Today Moscow of my youth can be seen only in movies, old photographs and paintings. The legacy of the artist, whose name is well known to lovers of art - great range of creative interests is very wide. Gorlov has created many genre paintings, portraits and still lifes, but was best known as author of the urban landscape. Specialists, who are so fond of the artistic process structure, often referred to Gorlov, "the chief representative of the Soviet Impressionism."
At the beginning of the restructuring of his paintings to be happy buying pouring into Russia, European and American collectors in the late 1980s. They began to appear in the auction of French auction houses. Fortunately, most of the legacy left behind and now Gorlova paintings decorate the many museum and private collections.
