Moneta murderers of Caesar will be traded in the U.S.

NEW YORK, December 15 - RIA Novosti, Larisa Sayenko. One of the largest collections of ancient coins Archer Huntington will be on display March 8 at New York auction Sotheby's, said in a statement released Thursday trading house.

The collection was assembled by an American collector Huntington more than 100 years ago and includes almost 38 thousand coins, including those relating to the history of ancient Rome and medieval Spain since the great geographical discoveries. It is estimated at 25-35 million dollars.

Among the rarest pieces - solid gold coin of the 15th century with the profiles of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, minted during the expedition of Columbus to the New World. This exhibit is the sole survivor of such gold coin such a large denomination of this era. Auction house experts believe that the most valuable antique coin in Europe.

No less remarkable silver coin minted by the Roman senator Brutus conspirator in the case that he committed the murder of Julius Caesar in 44 BC. On the dinar, which numismatists refer to one of the most valuable historical relics, shows a helmet and two swords. The image was somewhat prophetic - the murderer of Caesar eventually committed suicide by throwing himself on his own sword.

The collection, which presents coins from the 5th century BC to the 20th century, put up for auction "Spanish Society of America," intending to send the proceeds to acquire other historical exhibits - paintings and sculptures. The Company stated that the did not have sufficient space to provide the public a rich collection in all its glory.
