Now conservators have restored and returned to the temple a number of murals, but the work is more than half of the 150 songs of the church. The last composition prepared by the masters to return to the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, was the altar fresco "Adoration of the victim," which is the oldest temple of the tracks, but the idea to mount the mural this year, restorers have been forced to withdraw because of lack of funding. Currently installed in the temple mural "Christ in the tomb" and "The Dream of Jacob", a composition of images of the Archangel Michael, the prophet Zechariah, the martyr Procopius, as well as two unknown martyrs, the fragments of the temple "towels" (ornament) "medallions" with images Nikita and Iosaf martyrs.

Church of the Assumption was built in the vicinity of Novgorod the Great in 1352. The temple was nearly destroyed during World War II, almost all medieval frescoes, painted by an unknown author in an area of ​​about 350 square meters, collapsed. The restoration of the temple started in 2001 by Russian-German project, in 2003 the church was rebuilt after it began work on the revival of her painting.
