Default Border sign of the Russian Empire

Good day !
Fell into my hands a plate with boundary pillar of the Russian Empire.
I can not understand how it was painted ? On the one that fell into my hands paint is clearly not the last few decades . On the other hand, the column layout in the Museum of Russian Federal Border Service is white : http://sammler.ru/index.php?act=Atta...ost&id=1008735
Maybe someone knows the truth about these tablets ? And for the approximate cost will be just so grateful!
