 In Moscow, the 58-year-old crook sold someone else's painting by Ivan Aivazovsky "Seashore in calm. Landscape with wagon and a boat", informs "Interfax" referring to a law enforcement source. The cost of painting the owner is estimated at 18 million rubles (640,000 dollars).

 Picture, which belongs to the director of a Moscow bank, the woman allegedly took for restoration. Transfer blade was held in May 2011. When and how the owner of the paintings suspected fraud, is not specified, we only know that July 14 he issued a statement to the police.

 Suspected was arrested the same day in Moscow and has already confessed to the crime. Location pattern is unknown, as the amount for which crook managed to sell it. In fact what happened was prosecuted under Article 159 of the Criminal Code ("Fraud").

 As the representative of the police agency RIA Novosti, the owner of the paintings are not able to document the authenticity of the picture.

 Ivan Aivazovsky - one of the foremost artists of Romanticism - best known for his seascapes that make up more than half of them written in pictures. His works are in great demand at auctions, the cost is several million dollars. By Aivazovsky popularity, especially among Russian collectors, his paintings are often counterfeited.
