Artist Andrei Yegorov Afanasyevich (1878-1954)

Andrei Yegorov Afanasyevich born deaf (but there is information that he kinda got injured and became deaf) in 1878 in the county Haryuma, village Aruküla in a peasant family. After high school, deaf and dumb in 1898 g.ego sent to St. Petersburg to the school of drawing, "Society for the Encouragement of Arts, and later the Academy of Arts. In the last academy class, he learns in art studio artist Ilya Repin and Kardovsky. In 1909 he was awarded the title of the artist.
He then returned to the bourgeois Estonia, where he was underestimated as a representative of the Russian school. In the art magazines of the time you will not find any articles about it, then productive activities. In 1928, the day of its fiftieth anniversary in the journal "Taye" very little in the 30 lines that will write something. And in 1938, the day of the 60 decades, are silent all the magazines!
Work from the artist bought little. To survive, he walked on the printers, the ministries and easy to market, sell their paintings.
Egorov writes well winter landscapes, the Estonian town houses, courtyards, still lifes ...
