"Russian auction" at Sotheby's brought more than 14 million pounds
The works of Russian art collected on Tuesday more than 14 million pounds in the first day of "Russian auctions" held in London, Sotheby's. It is announced at the auction house.
Dearer than all the painting was sold by Mikhail Larionov's "Reclining Nude" - its final price was 1 миллион 385 thousand pounds (at Estimé from 1,2 to 1,5 million). Larionov created this work in the years 1906-07, when at the invitation of Diaghilev went to Paris. Bidding Russian art at Sotheby's will continue on 25 and 26 November. Among the lots will be presented jeweler works, paintings, icons and old books.
