The organizers - the Government of the Kirov region, the Department of Culture of the Kirov region, Kirov Regional Art Museum named after V. and AM Vasnetsov, Russian Academy of Arts.
The exhibition is dedicated to 100 anniversary of the founding of one of the oldest museums in the Russian provinces. In his organization involved not only representatives of the local culture, Vjatsky groups in the face of VM and AM Vasnetsov, NG Mashkovtsev, but also well-known collectors in Moscow: MK Morozova, AI Morozov, SI Shchukin.

To date, the museum collection includes works by Russian and foreign masters of painting, drawing, sculpture, decorative arts, has always evoked great interest among specialists and visitors.
This exhibition presents a unique collection of Russian and Soviet art of the twentieth century, which is worthy of the artistic heritage of a bygone era. The exhibition consists of different stylistic concepts of work, vividly reflecting the spirit of the time.
It works by artists of Russian avant-garde, and various creative groups beginning of the twentieth century - AHHR, OST, "Makovec, masters of social realism and the artistic direction of the turn of the 1950-1960 -" severe style ", the collection from the second half of the century, including and distinctive national schools.
The collection is represented by such famous names like Kandinsky, Rodchenko, VF Stepanov, NA Udaltsova, P. Konchalovsky, AA Osmerkin, R. Falk, A. Gerasimov, SV Gerasimov, A. Gritsay, NG Nyssa, Yuri Pimenov, NM Romadin, VF Stazharau, LV tavern, VE Popkov, and others.
Exhibits from the museum's collection of paintings and graphics that is included in the exhibit will not only see anew the works of famous artists, but also significantly expand understanding of the history of art of the twentieth century as a whole.
