По умолчанию Found engraved with Hitler and Lenin for chess

British auction house Mullock's Oct. 1 will expose for sale an engraving, which depicts Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Lenin, the game of chess. The owner of the lot is convinced of its authenticity (!) And calls the author of the image Emma Levenshtramm, uchivshuyu drawing of the future Fuhrer. Engraving, estimated at 40 thousand pounds sterling, dated 1909 year, it says that it took place in Vienna, wrote The Daily Telegraph.
According to auctioneers, there were five copies of the engravings. Apeak disposal Mullock's version of a pencil signature of Hitler, Lenin and Levenshtramm. However, the likelihood that this - the original autographs, is 80 percent. Owner engraving claims that his father spent his life establishing the authenticity of the images and the lot is accompanied by a 300-page study with evidence of the authenticity of paper, signatures and so on.
Engraving, according to its owner, belonged to the wealthy Viennese Jewish family, who left before the Second World War, part of the property to the housekeeper, including prints and illustrated in her chess. These items remained in the house housekeeper and is now owned by her great-grandchildren. Up for auction is exhibited not only graphics, but chess.
However, not all experts are sure of the authenticity of prints. For example, historians have no data or the fact that Lenin and Hitler had ever met, or the fact that Lenin was in the 1909-meters in the capital of Austria-Hungary. Moreover, by this time, Lenin was bald, and the engraving depicts a man, not disadvantaged hair (presumably Hitler sits on the left, near the window, Lenin - opposite). The final argument challenges the auctioneer, arguing that Lenin was able to use the wig reasons of secrecy.
Helen Rappaport, author of "Conspirator: Lenin in Exile" ( "Conspirators: Lenin in exile, believes that the engraving - fantasy. However, she admits that the images together with Hitler, a player could be someone from the Bolsheviks, or other acquaintances of Lenin living in exile.
The auction house Mullock's scheduled for October 1.
