More than a century of Autumn Salon in Paris - it's the art history of the twentieth century .. Salon has always opened new names, familiar with the new aesthetic searches in different fields of art and creativity of artists from other countries, among which was always a lot of Russian.

In 1906 at the Salon d'Automne was presented "Exhibition of Russian Art", prepared by Diaghilev. This event opened a new era in the development of cultural relations between Russia and France. For many years Autumn Salon has become a particularly attractive for Russian artists.
Most of the work of French collections of Morozov and Shchukin was purchased at the Salon d'Automne.
